Tajo Tire aims for same-day or next-day appointments wherever possible, and the shop is open seven days a week. Calling or texting ahead with your tire size is the single best thing you can do to make it quick — it tells us whether what you need is on the shelf before you drive over.

It is not worth it. A slow leak can become a flat or a blowout, and a tire that has been driven on while soft often picks up damage to the inner wall that cannot be repaired even though the original puncture could have been. If you have noticed a tire going down, come in while it is still a patch job.

It depends on how worn the others are. If all four are down together, replacing them together keeps the grip balanced front to rear, which is what matters in the wet. If one tire has failed on an otherwise healthy set, one replacement matched sensibly to the others is usually the right answer — and that is exactly the case where an inspected used tire makes sense. We will tell you which situation you are in.

Yes, and the honest answer is that it depends entirely on the inspection. A used tire here is checked for tread depth across its width, sidewall cracking and curb damage, any previous repair, and its age from the date code. One that does not pass is not worth fitting at any price, so we do not.

Yes. Old tires can be dropped off for recycling whether or not the replacements came from us. There is a recycling fee — call and we will tell you what it is for the number you have. If you are clearing a garage rather than changing one set, call first with a rough count.

Prices depend on the size and the tire, so call or text with the size off the sidewall and we will give you a number. We do not publish a price list, and any site that publishes one for tires is publishing a number that was out of date when it was typed.

Not yet. Tajo Tire has said all three are coming, but none of them is available today, so please do not make the trip for one. Tires — new, used, repaired, balanced and disposed of — is what the shop does right now.
